Family: Plantaginaceae (Plantain family)

Mid-Atlantic bloom time: May - August

Common Speedwell is pubescent throughout. Its large leaves are somewhat oval, and have 12–20 teeth per side. Its flowers are lilac-blue to lavender or white, and are 3–8 mm wide.

Common Speedwell is well known to Europe and western Asia; it is often interpreted as being of mixed native and alien background in North America.
