Narrow-leaf Vervain is a perennial with erect stems and narrow leaves. The leaves have very short or no petioles, and are sharply serrate, especially towards their apex. Its inflorescence is a solitary flowering spike, with flowers that bloom from the bottom up. Its flowers have five petals and vary in color from dark lavender or purple to bluish or white.
