Mid-Atlantic bloom time: April - early May Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: June - August
The genus is named Uvularia because the flower hangs down like the uvula in the back of your throat; the species name perfoliata reflects the fact that the stem seems to perforate the base of the leaves.
