Mid-Atlantic bloom time: April - early May Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: June - August

The genus is named Uvularia because the flower hangs down like the uvula in the back of your throat, the species name perfoliata reflects the fact that the stem seems to perforate the base of the leaves.
