Most flowers start out white, then turn pink and darker pink as they grow older.
The G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area near Linden, Virginia, is home to one of the largest stands of Large-flowered Trillium and one of the best places to see them, but note - a valid hunting or fishing license, or an access permit, is required unless hiking along the Appalachian Trail.
