September - November, persisting into winter
Coralberry's brightly colored drupes stand out in the fall when many other plants are starting to turn brown. According to the Flora of Virginia [Weakley et al, 2012]:
"The original distribution of this native species is obscure because of its aggressive occupation of cleared and disturbed habitats. This species is now invasive in some natural rocky woodlands and barrens where it was absent 20-30 years ago."
