Mid-Atlantic bloom time: April - June

Stout Blue-eyed Grass is one of several "blue-eyed grasses" in this genus in our area. Key features include the tepals (petals and sepals) are out straight in a single plane, there is a single inflorescence on each stem, and the stems are branched.

It is not a grass despite its common name.
