Southern Red Oak leaves are highly variable in shape and have 13 pairs of lobes. The leaves are often bell-shaped at their base; they are shiny above and somewhat pubescent beneath. Its acorn cups are thin and saucer-shaped; they cover 1/31/2 of the nut.
