Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: September - October

Slender Mountain-mint has a very distinctive faint mint smell, apparent particularly when its leaves or old flower heads are crushed. It has very narrow glabrous leaves that are 8–15 times as long as they are wide. As with other mints, its stems are square in cross section.
