Mid-Atlantic bloom time: April - June
Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: September - October

Tulip-tree is easily recognized by its tulip-shaped leaves and flowers, and by its spiked seed heads. It typically grows straight and tall, and its wood is fairly soft.
