Dense Blazing Star, with its showy purple flower spikes, attracts many pollinators and beneficial insects, including a number of butterflies and moths, bees, and even hummingbirds. It is native to eastern North America.
Liatris spicata var. resinosa used to be considered a subspecies, but has been recently elevated to its own species Liatris resinosa. As such, none of the photos below belong to that species.
