Mid-Atlantic bloom time: May - June
Mid-Atlantic fruit ripe: August - October

Yellow Flag has yellow flowers (perianths) and is a non-native species, being native to Eurasia and northwest Africa. It typically prefers very wet conditions, especially wetlands. It is relatively tall, reaching heights of 1.2 meters. The crest areas of Yellow Flags sepals are outlined by irregular series of brown markings.
