Low St. Andrew's Cross

Low St. Andrew's Cross is a matted, decumbent shrub, with multiple prostrate stems arising from the rootstock. Its flowers have four yellow petals, and its leave are widest above the middle, and usually relatively uniform in size and shape.

In the field, Low St. Andrew's Cross can be readily distinguished from St. Andrew's-cross (Hypericum hypericoides) by its overall form; St. Andrew's-cross is an upright, single-stemmed shrub, not decumbent.
