Mid-Atlantic bloom time: March - June

Golden Saxifrage is usually found in shallow water or seeps that have little to no flow rate of water. It forms dense mats of vegetation, giving it the alternative common names Water-mat and Water-carpet. The flowers are rather small, but amazing in detail, with bright orange-red anthers.
