Family: Lycopodiaceae (Clubmoss family)

Mid-Atlantic bloom time: June - August

Shining Clubmoss is usually found in forest soils, unlike the other species in this genus that are more typically found in rock outcrops. Its leaves are narrow, lance-shaped, shiny, and evergreen, with edges are irregularly toothed with small serrations.
